The Collective of Applied Law & Legal Realism (CALR) is the rapid delivery mechanism of AmerBON, Advocates’ pro bono services.

The CALR hosted the Legal Aid Chit Chat Clinic No. 3 on Facebook Live on 12 May 2020 to talk about the one-day parliament sitting and the ubiquitous police roadblocks during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The topics discussed included:

  1. The power of police officers to question drivers and conduct searches during roadblocks
  2. Employment issues, occupational health and safety, standard operating procedures, pay cuts, and illegal cost-cutting means
  3. One-day parliamentary sitting and urgent issues that need to be debated in Parliament

The topic on the right to health was postponed to the following session.
