Malay Mail | The High Court judge is expected to announce the verdict at the end of the trial tomorrow, after the defence called 20 witnesses while the prosecution had called 31 witnesses. The defence was represented by Amer Hamzah Arshad, together with several other lawyers.

New Straits Times | Lawyers representing the accused in the murder of navy cadet Zulfarhan Osman Zulkarnain wrapped up their case after five years. Earlier lawyer Amer Hamzah Arshad argued that the cause of death is disputed by medical experts. The six accused are charged under sections 302 and 109 of the Penal Code, which carries the mandatory death sentence upon conviction.

With 12 others, they are also charged under section 330 of the same code, read with section 34, for voluntarily causing hurt. Amer Hamzah Arshad represented the first and second accused.

He was cross-examined by lawyer Amer Hamzah Arshad who was representing the first and second accused in the trial.

During the proceedings, lawyer Amer Hamzah Arshad, representing Muhammad Azamuddin, asked his client whether he had something to say to Zulharfan’s parents and this prompted the accused to make an apology.
